"No, I'm not co-" The white wolf started to answer before she was stopped by a lick to her nose. It was a surprise that she hadn't expected. Most things this brute did were a surprise, but something she could see him doing. This was not and it made her wonder what was going on in his head.
She had almost made up her mind to ask him what he was thinking when he leaned forward and whispered something into her ear. It was soft and sweet, nothing like the banter and teasing from before. What in the world was going on here? Selaras leaned backwards a little bit, searching his eyes, looking for something to show her that he was teasing, but she found none. The white fae was, for once, speechless. All she could do was continue looking up at him, gazing into his deep amber eyes, searching for answers.
"What-?" Selaras finally stammered before stopping, not sure what to ask. Then she dropped her eyes, not really sure what to do. She didn't move from the contact, in fact, she leaned a little farther in as if afraid of what was coming next. This was all new to her. Flirting she could handle; but this was something entirely different, at least from her side.

Buwaru
~I promise to depart just promise one thing, Kiss my eyes and lay me to sleep~
Buwaru watched her search his face. She.. she.. she probably didn't like him the way he liked her and now she thought he was suddenly messing with her. He wasn't but it's not like she knew that. He frowned sadly, if only she knew how much he cared about her, how he'd always admired her since he had joined the pack. Although his confessions where not something to be said infront of this silent loner.. perhaps was she mute? No.. he had heard her yell..
The orangish wolf lifted his head a bit, ears perked and stared at her for a moment, wondering why she hadn't said a word, but not seeing any movement still, perhaps she was dead and stiff on her paws. Who knows, only Sephora would know. Back to the moment at paw he looked down at Selaras, ears flattening.
Her only word seemed to scare him, it made him feel uncomfortable and strange. The male sighed softly and lowered his head over hers again. "I'm sorry, I just figured... oh nevermind.." he said softly feeling foolish, he always blurted things out on impulses and this time he'd stopped him self whilst averting his eyes. "Please just forget this, I don't want to loose my snowflake" he whispered softly in her ear after lifting his head up. Buwaru squirmed a bit starting to get up slowly.

Selaras panicked. She didn't want Buwaru to leave. He had mistaken her hesitation for rejection, although she didn't know that. All she could see was her mother disappearing after losing her father and she knew that she didn't want to let a chance like this go. She had to face her fears if she was to get anything she wanted. So, on a panicked impulse, the white fae, scared as could be but not showing it, stood and stopped Buwaru from going anywhere, hopefully, by reaching her head around to rest on his shoulders.
"Don't go, Buwaru. Please?" Selaras said, emotion that she normally didn't show or let anyone hear coating her voice, making her words crack a little. Her ice blue eyes squeezed shut, hoping he would stay.

Buwaru
~I promise to depart just promise one thing, Kiss my eyes and lay me to sleep~
Buwaru stopped getting up and sat back down, the white wolf's head on his shoulders. She sounded so upset, he just couldn't do anything right today could he? Buwaru sighed softly and nudged his head under her neck, pulling her head off his shoulders, then nuzzling against her neck and chest. "Shhh.. it's okay" he said softly thinking she was about to cry and comforting her like a pup.
"I would never leave you alone" he said after pulling his head out from under her neck and looking for those ice blue eyes. "I promise, I'd never leave you alone, I wouldn't go to paradise unless you where there too. I'd fight Makatay and Sephora just to be with my snowflake... " he swallowed and closed his eyes. Then rested his head on top of hers. "Just to be with you Selaras." his voice faint, every word true.
He couldn't say the words he wanted to, they all became jumbled in his throat. A mess that never came out right. Why couldn't he say those simple words? He'd known Selaras ever since he joined the pack. The brute had seen all the troubles she had been though, and even though he had been silent, he had always tried to stay by her side even if she never noticed him. Buwaru sighed again, this was the closest he had ever gotten to saying how much he cared about the fae.
He lifted his head and looked directly at her, only hoping quietly that she got what he was trying to say.. If she didn't he'd keep trying and trying. He had to tell her, he had to tell her one way or another. He wanted her to truly be 'his' snowflake, 'his' Selaras.

Her eyes opened suddenly, glittering with briming tears. But they weren't sad or scared tears. A small, tentative smile had worked its way onto her muzzle as Buwaru made her look at him and he spoke.
'His nsowflake. I like the sound of that, but how am I supposed to tell him?' Selaras fretted. He had spoken so matter-of-factly. She wasn't like that. Sure, the white fae was bold and tended to speak her mind; that was her mind and not her heart. The voices inside of her were telling her to just out and say it. But how? Finally, Selaras took a deep breath, rubbed her cheek against Buwaru's, and began,
"You don't have to fight them, Buwaru. Your snowflake is right here. I'll always be here." Selaras' voice was just as soft as Buwaru's had been but she was close to him, her cheek still pressed gingerly up against his. She was scared, but determined to see this through. She had always admired Buwaru. He had made his way into the pack from a loner and now he was the Beta Male. It was impressive to say the least.

Buwaru
~I promise to depart just promise one thing, Kiss my eyes and lay me to sleep~
Buwaru blinked she was smiling at him! His entire face brightened even though her eyes where brimming, she still looked beautiful to him."Don't you cry" he said softly, a smile slowly appearing on his face. he reached out and licked her cheek then pulled back a bit.
Her words brightened his heart, his eyes filling with cheer and happiness."I'd still do it for you" he said softly touching his nose to hers, his tail wagging rapidly behind him." You'll be my snowflake even in paradise.." he whispered as she put her face against his. "So... the position of Beta Fae sounds okay to you?" the brute asked in his low tone of voice.
He lifted his head away to look at her directly in the eyes. He was going to try and say those words, those words he had just wanted to say so bad. Buwaru lowered his head and licked her muzzle, his nose only a whisker length away, "I really love you Selaras, and I'm not just having fun with this. I mean these words will all my heart." he said his voice cracking a little expecting a rejection.

Selaras blinked her happy tears away as she smiled and Buwaru. Who would've thought a morning run like this could've turned into this? She wasn't complaining. In fact, she thought it very refreshing; something new. She felt a blush slightly rise as the brute licked her face. This definitely was something new for the fae.
His next words touched her heart as she listened. It was surprising to her that anyone would feel so deeply towards her and want to fight for her so much. Besides possible, her siblings.
His question took her by surprise. She had, in the moment, forgotten what it would mean for her to be Buwaru's mate. Now that she was slightly more back to earth, she remembered that she would then take up the position of Beta Fae. That, perhaps in the future, would lead to her becoming Alpha Fae. It was a great responsibility and Selaras wasn't sure if she was ready. But, if she cared enough for the brute in front of her, it wouldn't matter. And it didn't matter, not one bit. The white wolf was about to reply when the orange wolf continued his 'speech'. And boy was it a doozy.
It had been implied, but never said. But now Buwaru had spoken the words that Selaras needed to hear to make up her mind; no doubts; no regrets. He loved her and she knew that she felt the same towards him. She knew that he was serious and not being his normal, flirty self.
"I know you mean it. And I love you too. As for being Beta Fae, I wouldn't have it any other way, as long as I can be with you." Selaras replied, looking up into Buwaru's eyes happily as her tail wagged and a large smile lit up her face. She then got a wicked glint in her eyes and reared on her hind legs, placing her front paws on Buwaru's chest, attempting to push him onto his back. The white wolf wasn't sure whether it would work or not considering her size sompared to his, but she was going to try anyway. At least any pups they possibly had would be average in size, hopefully.

Buwaru
~I promise to depart just promise one thing, Kiss my eyes and lay me to sleep~
Buwaru's heart seemed to soar up into the clouds, joy filling his body as she said those words. Just as some more words where about to slip past his tongue the smaller fae leapt up onto her hind-paws and he was caught off-guard and toppled over. He let out a huff as his back his the ground, hind paws slipping out from under him and now sticking straight up in the air. His front paws against his chest as he opened his golden amber orbs to look up at the lovely white fae.
With a grin that would put the Cheshire cat to shame, one could only imagine what he was thinking in that brutes mind as his ears perked and his eyes held a glint of playful light and something else with in his orbs. "Now aren't you a bold one m'dear" he growled words held a crooning note, ears flattening with mischief.
"Does my snowflake want to play?" he asked his words once again suggestive, still grinning that same smile, now he was more comfortable being his normal self now that those words had been said and done. He wasn't concerned about the injured female any longer it seemed she had passed out or something and he only had eyes for his Selaras.

Selaras felt herself falling on top of her newly discovered mate and looking down on him with his glorious amber eyes glittering mischeviously up at her. The scene was completed with his gorgeous smile and voice as he commented on her brazeness. It was more than she had ever hoped for: the orphaned and scared young pup that grew up to be the opposite of her name's meaning who had just thought of being an Elite all her life.
"Oh, I'm all kinds of bold, Buwaru." Selaras said, matching the brute's tone of voice and suggestiveness. His name was whispered tantilizingly.
"Play? What kind of game are we playing, my Beta?" The fae said, voice still teasing and coy. She was ready to play all sorts of games with this brute. Now that her position was established with him and they had gotten all the 'tener' parts out, she was ready for them to be themselves. The funny thing was that she hadn't thought that they would be very comfortable right away with each other. But here they were: the white snowflake and the orange fox, ready to play once more.

Buwaru
~I promise to depart just promise one thing, Kiss my eyes and lay me to sleep~
Buwaru grinned still, his tail wagging happily. Buwaru lifted a 'brow' creating a cocky looking grin. "I've noticed" he said, a larger grin on his muzzle. Quickly thinking, he somwhow managed to flip them both over, his fore-paws on either side of her shoulders, as he looked down at her and into her eyes. Like chips of the purest blue ice they sparkled with the michief reflected from his own amber orbs.
Leaning his head down to nuzzle again her neck he then put his muzzle by her ear. "A less than modest game m'dear" he whispered playfully, his tail still wagging. He gave a moment for the words to sink in while he stood over her. Then after a few quiet moments he leapt away from her, twirling around on his paws and facing her, he made the sound of a quiet 'woof' before looking back in the area of the pack den site. They might have started to look for him and Selaras, which worried him slightly.

The white fae smiled at the orange-ish brute happily. It had been a while since she had been so happy with someone other than her family. Before she knew it, Selaras found herself rolled to a new position: beneath Buwaru with his front paws on either side of her shoulders. They gazed at each other for a while before the Beta male said something more about their little game and moved away. Suddenly, Buwaru looked a little worried and she noticed him looking back to the den site.
Selaras rolled to her side and stood, shaking her pelt to try and get off any debris on her coat before moving over to stand beside her mate. Her mind whirled a bit at that thought: a mate.
'A mate. I can't believe it. Not only do I now have a mate, I am the Beta fae and mate to the Beta Brute. How did this happen?' Selaras thought before she shoved the thought away quiet violently in her head. She was happy with Buwaru and wouldn't let her doubts and fears stop them from being together. Instead, Selaras focused on relieving Buwaru's worry.
"Buwaru, no one will come for us. You didn't become Beta because you were weak and my family knows I can take care of myself. Relax," Selaras said, the word 'relax' coming out at a whisper as she moved her muzzle next to his ear, tickling the fur there slightly, "come, we will continue out, what did you call it? Oh yes, 'less than modest' game." Selaras circled the brute, dragging her tail against the normal falling pattern of his fur as she went. Her long tail brushed under his chin before Selaras' speed picked up and she slipped into the tall grass, although she did not go far. It would not take long for Buwaru to find her, but hid-and-go-seek was fun, especially if it was 'less than modest'.
