Tundra wolf, though with a small hint of Eastern heritage.
what d'you look like?
Cruz is a bit large for her age, stately, with an abnormal build. She has very lean muscles, almost hidden under her fur, though to others she comes off as a bit gangly, a bit thin. She has a defined, almost stoic visage with a narrow muzzle and slightly torn ears. The femme has deft shoulders and slender forearms, though with large, flexible paws. Her platform is almost statuelike, being perfectly flat when coming from the neck. Cruz's hinds are a bit more ample, though the paws are still childlike and outgrown.
With most Tundra wolves, Cruz have a fine, russet pelt with short, though almost silky fur. Though usually the colour of copper, her fur can vary from a light beige to almost an ash-like colour. Her cheekfurs and flanks are very light in colour, being tannish and contrasting with her more dark, lurid fur. Her paws are nearly black, reminiscent of a fox's markings, though much darker. Her eyes are yellow, the colour of liqiud gold.
what are you like?
A jerk with a heart of gold, Cruz is known for being a snide, sarcastic character with very snarky tendencies. To those she first encounters, she'll probably throw about a one-liner or insult their physical or emotional being. She only does things that benefit her, and though not evil, she has a very anti-heroic personality. Cruz likes to play mind games with others, especially her enemies, and has tons of "dirty fighting" techniques up her sleeve. Some have called her heartless, but she just calls that business.
Besides her personality, Cruz is also very intelligent. Despite the stereotyping that "hunters are smart, though weak" and "fighters are dumb, though strong," Cruz is actually quite clever. Besides her fighting tactics, she can also tell a lot about someone just by a first glance. She has a small philosophical streak to her, one that is hidden behind layers of snarkiness and halfhearted insults.
Underneath all that angst and jerkiness, Cruz is a very nice person. If someone manages to catch her alone, she might be a bit more of a softy, blaming it on how tired she is. She finds friendliness to be a sign of weakness - she'll only be kind and caring to those she knows well. Even around those she does appreciate, she'll be a bit sarcastic, but she'll never try to purposefully hurt you.
your life story, if you don't mind?
Cruz was actually born to two "loners," former K'Narta, who had somehow managed to join the Su'Tera - Aldas and Badr, two Elites who died quickly after her birth. Cruz was taken into the care of the packmates, alternating between the Omegas, Elders and Betas, as the Alphas refused to take care of a "loner's spawn." Though friendly and kind, the fae was shot down by her pupmates and outcasted because she was not born into the pack. She was left to her own devices, treated as if she was an omega [though, even then, the omegas had little respect for her.]
Cruz, despite her best efforts, knew that she would never be fully accepted into the pack because of her heritage, and her personality suddenly took a different turn. A snap, you could say. Soon, she developed more "mean" tendencies, becoming a sarcastic, hardened person. This startled them - this was not the little, pathetic Cruz they knew! Some were upset with the transition, others were relieved she finally gained a backbone, while others cared little. Though this wasn't her "true" personality, she thinks of it as a way to filter out good people from the bad, as well as a form of entertainment.
Even with her more "tsundere" tendencies, Cruz managed to become an Elite early on, gaining a bit more respect from her packmates. The fae is quite proud of herself for these accomplishments, thinking of herself as a sort of successor for her parents. Thus, she hopes to finally gain trust and respect from her packmates... even with all the odd rumours stirring around about the gods and that one wolf.
Maybe, just maybe, she'll become a hero.
anything else you'd like to share?
