Wounds of The Hunted

[Wolf]

Paws hit the ground and left almost instantly as the tall red grass out side of K'Narta's territory rustled. Blood fell down to the ground and panting could be heard to any one close by. The owner of the paws, the blood, and the panting dared not to look back. She doubt the grass could hide her from her attacker. She doubted she would find a safe place to hide. The fae would not allow her self to go back to the pack of brutes from her past, the pack that destroyed her last pack. Who else had survived that? She couldn't remember seeing who escaped.... how long has it been? That's right... two and a half years since the attack... and what? Eight years since she ran into the brutes? Why where they after her? A small message faintly ringed inside her head. "We will not allow a strong, health fae go!"

The maned fae growled to her self and told her to keep going. She will not stop till she was caught or till she fell over... The boarder of the K'Narta's territory neared and the red, black, and white wolf stoped. She had lied to herself. She wouldn't enter another pack's territory with out permission. Whimpering, the fae shifted her feet nervously and almost gave a loud yelp. Her neck and her right front leg where injured. Moving her big ears as best as she can, she tried to find any sounds around her as she crouched close to the ground. Redd was the maned wolf's name.

Grayish-red fur moved about as Nizhoni searched for some supplies she needed for healing. She had decided to get out early so that she would be able to quickly respond to any problems in camp once she had returned. As she searched she caught an all to familiar scent..Blood.

Her yellow eyes beamed, searching for the source of the scent. It was wolf blood, but it wasn't from her pack. Following her nose, she finally caught sight of Redd...another fae. She was clearly hurt and it seemed bad. Nizhoni immediately shot into healer mode but also exercising caution. "Hey! You look like you could use some help. I'm a healer. Come back to my pack and I'll help you. I'm Nizhoni by the way,"

Redd had turned to look behind her finally, moving her body so it was parallel to the boarder. Her green eyes search and she couldn't see any thing. Under the strong smell of blood and the sound of her beating heart she turned her head to the fae that spoke to her. She hesitantly thought about taking a side step away, but she didn't move. Still trying to catch her breath, her ears where alert, the black one twitching only once. "You're this pack's healer....?" she spoke softly. Redd looked to where she came from and whimpered. Go to Nizhoni's pack, taking the risk, or run till she was among the stars? She didn't know what to do. Redd knew she needed to find some thing to push her to go with Nizhoni.... "Your pack..... its brutes wont hurt me right?" Redd dislikes for brutes where strong... and she only trusted faes...

Nizhoni tried to gather as much information about this fae from her words, her actions, and her wounds. Every little bit of information was helpful in making a decision on how to treat a sick patient. It took her a moment to register the fae's question. She obviously doesn't like brutes. Maybe she's had bad experiences with them in the past.
"You should be more than safe among my pack as long as you don't cause us problems. Since you're injured you'll be cared for and I don't let anyone touch my patients anyway...but no our brutes will not hurt you."

I'll probably have to play my cards well here. She seems really timid and I don't want to scare her off. Choose your words wisely Nizhoni, it may make the difference between the life and death of this wolf.

Redd moved a little bit closer, then stopped. She became more hesitant... What if the evil first pack attacked them now? No... they weren't that stupid, at least she thought they weren't. This fae seemed so.. so nice.... And she was very pretty... even though she was a bit shorter than her self. Redd could only pray she was making the right decision not only for her self, but for the pack that this healer was going to bring her to. Finally forcing her self to go over to the boarder half way to become closer. "I... I'll come then...... My name is Redd...."

Nizhoni gave the fae an inviting smile, in order to show her friendliness and to hide the sigh of relieve that almost escaped her. "Alright then let's hurry back. I need to get you sorted out as soon as possible. You can lean on me if would help you walk. Nizhoni waited for the fae to decide whether or not she needed support. "What is your name? You haven't told me yet. I can't keep referring to you as ' the fae'."

[Wolf]

Redd blinked and shook her head, a gesture saying she though she might need support. As she took another step forward, she winced slightly. She had done this before with out support and she was sure she could do again. " My name is Redd... thank you.. by the way...." this time, she wasn't speaking soft. Redd decided she liked Nizhoni even more, but she shouldn't be quick to judge.

Nizhoni led the way back to pack. They weren't too far from Nizhoni's home but becasue of Redd's injuries it took them a while to get to the entrance. "Alright, here we are." Leading the way in, Nizhoni was careful to keep Redd close. The stranger would not be welcomed, but the situation would probably be understand by the pack.

Redd slowly followed, limping. She sent a quick prayer to the heavens above that she wasn't making a mistake. The fae had hoped that this nice fae wolf in front of her wouldn't get killed along with her pack because of her hunters. As they neared to what seemed like the entrance to the pack's camp, Redd stopped, hesitating in taking another step forward. She hurt, and she was feeling dizzy. She walked on following Nizhoni. As of now, she only trusted her.
